An Improved PCR-Based Method for DNA Assembly

Description:

The improved PCR-based method for DNA assembly allows for the assembly of DNA molecules in the 4-10 kb range from monomers or dimers with improved efficiency and in a shorter time compared to the methods currently available in the field.

The method allows for the assembled DNA molecule to be integrated directly into a plasmid (e.g. E. coli shuttle vector) instead of a chromosome. It also allows for the exploitation of homologous recombination in yeast to assemble >10kb constructs.
