Reducing Interference in wireless signals

Description:

The technology provides an adaptive clear channel assessment (ACCA) technique for improving the performance of ZigBee/IEEE 802.15.4 communications when there is varying interference from collocated wireless local area networks (WLANs). The technique improves the performance of ZigBee network, reduces network interference problems, and reduces energy consumption.

The improvements on ZigBee WSN under WLAN interference has been demonstrated in the labs testbed. It provides the following benefits:

Energy efficient

Reliable transmission through reduced packet delivery latency

Co-existance with WLAN networks by addressing interference problems.

Convenience: Functionality of ZigBee enabled devices not affected upon relocation.
