This technology presents a unique solution to the growing problem of identity theft facilitated through the limited protection offered by currently deployed password based identity confirmation systems. The technology combines the use of user defined graphical shapes entered onto an input device which is also capable of measuring the relative pressure of application of the input mechanism (stylus) at varying points in the shape. A user’s identity would not be confirmed by a locked system unless and until the proper shape was drawn utilizing the proper pressure at the right locations on the shape.
