Antioxidants to preserve lipids

Description:

This technology targets free radicals, the molecules that cause substances to break down when they are exposed to ultraviolet light. The antioxidants are stable at room temperature or under mild heating, and do not turn brown over time as is seen with comparable antioxidants. The compounds would be a suitable replacement for BHT and tocopherol in fine chemical preparations, particularly involving lipids as found in cosmetics and some pharmaceuticals.
